The person who I most admire is Marie Curie.
Marie Curie was a Polish-French chemist and physicist who was born on 7th November of 1867.
She learnt to read at the age of 4. Marie spoke a lot of languages such as Polish, Russian, German and French. She graduated at the age of 15.
She married Pierre Curie in 1894 and they started to work together so two years later they had discovered the X-rays and the natural radioactivity. Pierre encouraged Marie in order to she did her doctoral thesis about the radioactivity.
The reason why I admire her is that she was a pioneering woman. She is the only person to win a Nobel Prize in two different sciences. In my opinion she was an enterprising, clever and courageous woman who was capable of fighting for the male chauvinism there was in that time, due to she was the first female professor at the University of Paris.
Marie Curie, after she went blind, died on 4th July of 1934. In 1995 she became the first woman to be entombed on her own merits in the Panthéon in Paris.
